Developed by the Alliance for Higher Education in Prison, the Resource Community for Higher Education in Prison (RCHEP) offers an interactive platform where practitioners, students, graduates, advocates, administrators, and anyone invested in higher education in prison programs can gather to share program updates, news, and resources, while also initiating and engaging in community building group discussions and blogs. The virtual platform is also an access point for resources including technical assistance to funding.
Resources (documents) are uploaded by the community to provide information, guidance, tools, and assistance to RCHEP community members and the field overall. AIR with support from Ascendium Education Group has gathered resources from across the field to populate the Resource Library.
The Library develops trends (topics) of pressing interest to the field of higher education in prison. Trending topics include:
RCHEP was developed alongside the Normalizing Education Resource Center from Jobs for the Future (JFF) as a complementary platform supporting the development of quality higher education prison programs.
