The STEM Talent Challenge is an initiative by the U.S. Economic Development Administration (EDA), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce, that aims to build STEM talent training systems to strengthen regional innovation economies.
For the fiscal year 2023, the STEM Talent Challenge awarded a total of $4.5 million in grants to organizations that are creating and implementing STEM talent development strategies. These strategies are designed to complement their region’s innovation economy.
