Founded in 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky, Baptist Health is a nonprofit health system with health care facilities located throughout the states of Kentucky and Indiana. The Baptist Health system comprises nine hospitals and over 400 points of care, including:

  • outpatient facilities
  • physician practices
  • urgent care clinics
  • diagnostic and surgery centers
  • home care
  • fitness centers
  • occupational medicine and physical therapy clinics

Each hospital in the Baptist Health system is recognized by the American Nursing Credentialing Center.

The organization's employed provider network, Baptist Health Medical Group, features nearly 1,500 providers, including over 750 physicians and more than 740 advanced practice clinicians. Additionally, Baptist Health collaborates with a network of over 2,000 independent physicians. Baptist Health partners with the University of Louisville in a collaborative effort to provide a family residency program designed to bring new physicians to rural communities.
