Founded in 2016, Edalex is an edTech company based in Australia. The company has developed a number of tools for skills, credentials, and learning data, including:

  • Credentialate, a Credential Evidence Platform, that helps discover and share evidence of workplace skills. [2019]
  • openRSD, an open library for the storage of Rich Skill Descriptors (RSDs). openRSD uses Edalex’s open-source technology stack to create locally- and globally-relevant libraries of RSDs that are open to all contributors and consumers. [2022]

In 2024, Edalex announced a suite of services to help education institutions and other organizations make the shift to skills. The new services will focus on helping to champion the shift to skills internally, map and align skills in a curriculum, develop institution- or course-specific rich skill descriptors (RSDs), or develop and implement a complete skills framework. Training and implementation options are available so that institutions can develop their in-house resources to move to scaling efforts more quickly.
