The Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce (CEW) is a research and policy institute within Georgetown’s McCourt School of Public Policy. CEW studies the links between education, career qualifications, and workforce demands. CEW operates within an environment of complete academic freedom, independently developing its own research agenda and going wherever the facts and analysis take them.  CEW's focus on jobs, skills, and equity helps to inform students, parents, teachers, and policymakers about the changing relationship  between education and careers. Major areas of research include:
  • State and local analysis
  • Economic and racial justice
  • Education and workforce policy
  • Non-economic value of higher education
  • Economic value of credentials and competencies
  • Job projections and education requirements.
The Good Jobs project was launched in 2017 to investigate the impact structural economic change has had on workers at different education levels. The project includes resources that show the concentration of good jobs by industry and occupation.
