Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) works to improve lives in Latin America and the Caribbean. Through financial and technical support for countries working to reduce poverty and inequality, IDB helps improve health and education, and advance infrastructure. Since 1959, IDB has been the leading source of development financing for Latin America and the Caribbean, providing loans, grants, and technical assistance; and conducting extensive research. IDB maintains a commitment to achieving measurable results and the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and accountability. Among more than 600 projects underway in several sectors are 27 projects in education.  An example are programs to support the development of skills towards jobs of the future.
