Jobs for the Future (JFF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to building educational, workforce, and economic opportunities for underserved populations. Founded in 1983, JFF aims to address the systemic barriers to economic mobility by working with policymakers, educators, employers, and other stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.

JFF maintains a focus on education and workforce development, with an emphasis in the areas of career and technical education (CTE) and pathways to higher education. The organization’s efforts are directed towards ensuring that individuals have access to career pathways through high-quality educational and training opportunities that align with the needs of the labor market. This includes advocating for policies that support the integration of academic and technical skills, as well as providing technical assistance to educational institutions and employers.

JFF also places an emphasis on equity and inclusion, recognizing the disproportionate barriers faced by underserved communities in accessing economic opportunities. The organization works to promote equity in education and the workforce through its programs and initiatives, as well as by advocating for policies and practices that address systemic inequalities.

JFF engages in research and innovation to identify practices and models for advancing economic opportunity in the future. This includes conducting research on emerging trends in the labor market, evaluating the effectiveness of educational and workforce development programs, and piloting innovative approaches to education and training. JFF also collaborates with partners across sectors to scale successful interventions and drive systemic change.
