Overview

A web-friendly interoperable digital record, Comprehensive Learning Record (CLR), is designed to be flexible enough to support a wide range of use cases to meet the needs of students, registrars, employees, and employers. A CLR shows a complete picture of lifelong learning, from the earliest stages of learning to advanced education to career achievements.

The 1EdTech CLR standard allows organizations to manage and showcase learner records like courses, competencies, skills, internships, Open Badges, in a verifiable and machine-readable format. 1EdTech’s contributing members are enhancing CLR 1.0 to a new version that is a W3C Verifiable Credential. CLR 2.0 is designed as a Learning and Employment Record (LER) for adoption in late 2022.
