Overview

Propel Polk! Credentialing 21st Century Skills for Postsecondary Success is a pilot program to teach durable skills to 11th and 12th graders in the Polk County (Florida) School District. Over 450 students at 10 high schools were expected to participate.

Participating students receive digital micro-credentials for their resumes, as well as college credit. The awarding of digital micro-credentials as “badges” allow students to make the achievement of these skills visible to both colleges and employers. In addition, the deployment of the digital micro-credentials can be coordinated with business input through local employer convenings and effective Education Design Lab tools, such as the T-profile.
