Workforce Compass

In June 2021, the National Association of Workforce Boards (NAWB) launched an AI-powered career navigation and learning platform, Workforce Compass, in partnership with technology provider FutureFit AI. The platform (referred to as a “GPS for your Career”) will enable participating workforce development boards across the country to provide job seekers with career exploration, reskilling, and job placement support that is personalized through local labor market data and artificial intelligence. The  platform will enable workforce development boards to expand and strengthen their services for job seekers.

The platform will support equitable economic recovery efforts by offering personalized guidance in a hybrid service delivery model, organizing all assessments, learning, and resources in a one-stop-shop system, and generating real-time progress insights to help drive equitable outcomes.

Several inaugural workforce development boards and their staff are informing the development of the platform to ensure Workforce Compass maximizes its impact for job seekers and the organizations that serve them.

Workforce Compass uses over 350 million global talent profiles, live labor market information and projections, and proprietary machine learning algorithms to identify an individual’s skills, recommend possible career paths, and create a personalized roadmap of learning, support resources, and coaching to drive successful outcomes.
