Age Equity Alliance (AEA) is a U.S.-based nonprofit that works globally to promote age-inclusive workplaces. AEA grew out of a working group called “Old School at Work,” formed in early 2020 to tackle age discrimination in business. By late 2020, they became an official 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The organization seeks to eliminate age bias and stereotyping in employment by helping companies attract, develop, and retain talent across all age groups. AEA promotes a “longevity mindset,” valuing long-term career potential beyond age or generational labels.

Key activities include:

• Education & Training
  • Offers measurement tools, leadership consultation, and training interventions to help organizations understand employee perspectives and build more age-equitable cultures.
• Forums & Events
  • Hosts global virtual forums where business leaders and practitioners learn about age equity, especially focusing on longevity, ageism, and intergenerational work.
• Advocacy
  • Works to raise awareness of workplace ageism, challenge age-based stereotypes, and promote intergenerational collaboration as part of core business values.
