CWI Works (formerly the Center for Workforce Inclusion, Inc.) is a nonprofit organization focused on workforce development for Americans aged 50 and older. Founded in 1962, the organization has focused on developing job-training and placement programs designed to help older job seekers connect with employers and bridge talent gaps in the labor market. Its core mission is to unlock the potential of older workers, recognizing that by 2028, workers age 50+ will represent over 25% of the U.S. labor force, and to help employers tap into this experienced talent pool. The organization offers programs geared toward older job seekers, including hands-on training, digital skill development, and paid apprenticeships, and it partners with employers and federal agencies to place trained candidates.

Examples of work include:

  • Digital Certification Program (DCP): A central program aimed at equipping older job seekers with in-demand digital skills so they can participate in today’s technology-enabled workplaces.
  • ReadyBlueprint by CWI Works: A service for employers that helps build a skills blueprint for their hiring needs and then matches older trained workers to those roles, helping employers find qualified, dependable talent.
  • Training & Placement Services: The organization offers training programs and apprenticeship-style pathways for older job seekers in industries such as financial services, hospitality, office administration, transportation, manufacturing, and health care. Since its founding, CWI Works reports training nearly 500,000 clients and placing them with over 5,000 employers.
