Overview

An agreement between the Midwestern Higher Education Compact (MHEC) and SAS Institute makes SAS software bundles available to MHEC members at discounted prices.  SAS software capabilities include data access, integration, preparation, quality, visualization, reporting, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.  This contract is a result of a request for proposal released by MHEC on August 15, 2022.  The contract awarded to SAS is effective from July 1, 2023, until June 30, 2026, with an option to renew for four additional years. 

Agreements between the Midwestern Higher Education Compact and other regional compacts (NEBHE, SREB, WICHE) make the benefits of this agreement available to institutions in 47 U.S. states.

Organizations in these member states which are eligible to utilize this agreement include all: 

  • Not-for-profit private and public institutions and/or systems of higher education (colleges, universities, community colleges, technical institutions, and equivalent institutions) 
  • K-12 schools and school districts 
  • City, county, and other local governments 
  • State governments and their departments 

SAS included options for consulting services and cloud hosting for participating organizations as part of this agreement.
