Instructure is an educational technology company that was created in 2008. Services include the Canvas learning management system (LMS) and Instructure Learning Platform. In 2022, Instructure acquired LearnPlatform and Concentric Sky: the Makers of Badgr; and then in 2024, they added Parchment, the world's largest credential management platform and network.

The company focuses on digital credential products and services and aims to translate learning outcomes into validated skills that both learners and employers can understand. Its work is based on the recognition that badges can give learners agency over their learning and career path by clearly communicating the employer-valued skills they’ve either already demonstrated or still need to earn.

Examples of Instructure's work include:

• Annual State of Student Success and Engagement in Higher Education Report
  • The report consists of surveys from 17 countries and over 6,000 learners, administrators, and faculty.
• Canvas LMS
  • Canvas offers K-12 schools and higher education institutions several tools related to virtual, hybrid, or in-person educational experiences, including Canvas LMS, Canvas Studio, Canvas Catalog, and Canvas Credentials.
• Canvas Student Pathways
  • Canvas Student Pathways engages learners through custom, stackable pathways, helping them navigate academic and co-curricular journeys and providing a roadmap for acquiring new skills.  These pathways also help educational institutions to issue verified badges that are backed by an authentic assessment of coursework and co-curricular work samples.  Pathways allow students to attach photos, samples, and examples of their coursework to each badge.
