Based in Rhode Island, the Education Exchange is a nonprofit organization established in 1979 with a mission to empower adults through education and job training.  Services focus on increasing adults' educational levels, earning high school equivalencies, acquiring job skills, and securing employment.  The population served includes low-income, unemployed, or underemployed adults. Education programs include:
  • General Educational Development (GED) -- earning a high school diploma
  • English as a Second Language(ESL) -- developing English language skills in reading, writing, and conversation
  • Adult Basic Education (ABE) -- strengthening learning skills to achieve your goals
  • National External Diploma Program -- portfolio and life skills-based diploma
Employers can register with the Education Exchange to gain access to a pipeline of pre-screened candidates with in-demand skills.  Programs include Hospitality, Digital Literacy, Aquaculture , and Captains License trainings.
