Overview

The Earn-and-Learn project is building an ongoing community of practice across states, starting with three delegations from Colorado, Indiana, and Alabama. Delegations include a diverse range of key decision-makers and implementers, such as representatives from state legislatures, state governor’s offices, employer organizations, chambers of commerce, higher education, career and technical education, K-12, local program implementers, and intermediaries.

Each convening is co-designed with the hosting delegation to increase cross-state learning, enhance alignment across states, document progress and encourage collaborative problem solving.

Examples of topics being shared include:

  • how state leadership is building sophisticated systems for quality
  • demand-driven competency-based education pathways
  • bachelor’s degree apprenticeship in early childhood education
  • work-based learning and apprenticeship program in various states.
