Overview

NOVA Workforce and Professional Development is an initiative of Northern Virginia Community College. The initiative provides continuing education, professional training programs, and pathways to in-demand career fields. The initiative offers skill training, industry credentialing, and career advancement programs, as well as scholarship and grant opportunities to help learners in need of financial assistance.

NOVA Workforce and Professional Development offers programs designed to provide learners with skills, training, and credentials in several career fields.

The following FastForward (Workforce Credentials Grant) programs prepare learners for in-demand industries within Virginia:

  • Business – SHRM Certification Prep
  • Healthcare
  • Information Technology
  • Trades & Transportation

The MyWorkforce system allows learners to register online for NOVA Workforce courses.

Financial Assistance for Non-Credit Industry Credentials (FANTIC) funding is available on a first-come-first-served basis.
