The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) is a nonprofit professional organization dedicated to connecting college career services professionals and employers to facilitate the recruitment and employment of college graduates. Founded in 1956, NACE serves as a central hub for networking, professional development, and research in the field of career services and recruitment. The association comprises over 17,000 members from various institutions and organizations, including colleges and universities, employers, and career services professionals across the United States and internationally.

NACE offers a range of resources, information, and services including:

  • conferences and webinars
  • research and publications
  • professional development
  • career readiness
  • career development
  • talent acquisition
  • diversity
  • job market information
  • public policy and advocacy

These resources aim to support career services professionals in guiding learners and alumni through the job search process and preparing them for success in the workforce. Additionally, NACE provides networking opportunities for members to collaborate, share insights, and stay abreast of industry trends and innovations.

The organization offers the NACE Coaching Certification Program, which serves as either a 30 or 60 hour certification program serving as a prerequisite and training program for individuals in pursuit of a Board-Certified Coach (BCC) credential.

NACE also conducts research on employment trends, salary data, and the evolving needs of the labor market to inform its members and stakeholders. Through surveys, benchmarking studies, and data analysis, the association provides valuable insights into the current state of college recruiting and helps identify emerging opportunities and challenges facing employers and job seekers alike.

In addition to its focus on career services and recruitment, NACE advocates for policies and initiatives that support the interests of its members and promote the value of higher education in the workforce. The association engages with policymakers, industry leaders, and other stakeholders to address issues such as workforce development, diversity and inclusion, and the role of education in economic prosperity.
