Founded in 1986, the M.E. Davenport Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It is not operationally affiliated with Davenport University or the Davenport University Foundation scholarship endowment. The M.E. Davenport Foundation advocates for the development of individual and collective potential through education, initiative, and community engagement. The foundation supports projects in the education, economic, and environmental sectors through grants and programs.

Examples of work include:

• Grand Rapids Community College Foundation: $250,000 (over 5 years) for campus improvements.
• Lighthouse Academy: $20,000 to support programs and services for expelled high school students pursuing their diplomas.
• Wedgwood Christian Services: $100,000 (over 2 years) for on-site youth Employment Training Program.
