Established in 1989, the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL) is a national nonprofit organization that works to eradicate poverty by providing educational solutions for families through a multigenerational approach. It operates on the belief that when children and parents learn together, the whole family and community thrive. NCFL's work includes several key programs and partnerships:

  • Family and Child Education (FACE)
    • Comprehensive family literacy model designed for American Indian families that integrates language and culture and is funded by the Bureau of Indian Education.
  • Family Learning Communities™
    • Aims to establish coordinated family learning systems in communities across the country.
    • Core component in NCFL's multigenerational models is Parent and Child Together (PACT) Time®, involving planned activities where parents and children learn together.
  • Driving Possibilities
    • Development of a 32-year partnership with Toyota, focuses on educational and workforce readiness in STEM in specific communities.
