Founded in Colorado in 2016, CareerWise is a national nonprofit organization and apprenticeship intermediary focused on expanding youth apprenticeship and strengthening education-to-career pathways. The organization works with employers, educators, workforce organizations, public agencies, and community partners to create paid apprenticeship opportunities that enable young people to gain work experience, develop skills, earn credentials and educational credit, and pursue pathways to careers and further education.
CareerWise operates apprenticeship programs and supports communities in developing and scaling youth apprenticeship systems. Its work includes apprenticeship and career accelerators, education-to-career pathways, consulting and technical assistance, and technology infrastructure through its Hub platform.
CareerWise operates flagship programs in Colorado and New York City and works with affiliates and intermediary partners in communities across the United States.
The organization also conducts research and field-building activities intended to strengthen youth apprenticeship nationally and works with employers across industries including healthcare, advanced manufacturing, technology, and other fields.
