Arbeitskreis Geragogik is a German professional working group dedicated to the field of Geragogik, the study and practice of education and learning for older adults. Founded in 1999, the network supports interdisciplinary collaboration and seeks to link research, teaching, and practice in the education of older people. A key goal is to promote self-determination and active participation of older adults in lifelong learning processes.

Key activities include:

• Annual Conferences & Summer School: The AK Geragogik holds yearly conferences for academic and practitioner exchange.
• Education & Policy Engagement: The network produces policy-relevant work, such as a dialogue paper on the impact of digitalization on aging and learning.
• Advocacy for Geragogical Research: It furthers the development of “age education” by connecting gerontological research with educational practice.
