AGE Platform Europe is a European network of non-profit organizations for people aged 50 and older. It represents their interests across the European Union by promoting age equality, combating ageism, and ensuring older persons can participate fully in society. Established in early 2001, the organization provides a platform for exchange, advocacy, and policy influence at European, national, and regional levels.

Examples of Their Work

• AGE publishes the AGE Barometer, an annual report assessing the socio-economic situation of older people in Europe, tracking policies, labor market inclusion, and human rights across member states.
• The network engages in policy advocacy, for example launching an Intergenerational Forum within the European Parliament to explore demographic change, aging, and inclusive societies.
• AGE takes part in EU-funded projects related to digital inclusion, accessible transport, age-friendly environments, and involvement of older adults in design and research.
