Founded in 2008, ExcelinEd, formerly known as the Foundation for Excellence in Education (FEE), is a nonprofit organization that works to support state leaders in transforming education to unlock opportunity and lifelong success for every child. The organization focuses on early literacy, accountability, educator support, and college and career readiness through initiatives and policy advocacy.

Examples of recent work include:

• Next Generation Learning
  • An initiative of strategies for K-12 schools to innovate and meet individual student needs more effectively.
• Pathways Matter
  • A policy continuum resource that establishes an education-to-workforce policy from K-12 through postsecondary education and employment.
